Recorded videos can help users to repeat the video session, if they don’t understand at first session and it can also help to take down the notes if needed.

Who can record the video call on Google Meet

Google Meet recording cannot be recorded by everyone. It can be recorded by only those people who are within the same organization or one who is the organizer of the meeting or by a teacher, who is using Google Meet as a Classroom. Recording video call on Google Meet is only available to G-Suite Enterpriser.

Where the recording of video call of Google Meet is saved

Once the video call ends in Google Meet, the recording of the same gets recorded on the Google Drive. Recording of Video call cannot be done through Mobile platform. Right now it is only available through Web.

How to record video call on Google Meet using any browser on your PC

Once the meeting is started by clicking on “Start or join a meeting”. One need to tap on three dotted line, which can be seen at the bottom of the right hand side corner.

Tap on the "Record meeting" which can be seen at the top of the pop-up menu.

Note : If Record meeting option is not seen, then one cannot record the meeting.

Now you will get a pop-up message asking for consent to record, tap on “Accept”. The recording will get started.

Recording can be stopped at anytime, by just clicking on three dotted lines. Tap on "Stop recording" which can be seen on menu, and then confirm the same.

Note : Users on the platform will know when the recording starts and end.
