Google Chrome: How to Create Different Profiles.

Just follow the step-by-step guide to set up multiple Chrome profiles for different purposes.

You can use Google Chrome as your default browser for work and personal communications.For this reason, you can create multiple Chrome profiles, one for work and one for personal use.

Each Chrome profile can store and manage its own bookmarks, history, passwords, and other contents.You can also use the same profile in Chrome on all your computers and mobile devices.

Step No.1

Assume you are currently using a profile in Chrome. The first task is to edit and name this profile to distinguish it from the additional profiles you may create. Now Open Chrome on your PC and click the profile icon in the upper right corner. Click the pencil icon to customize your profile.

 

Step No.2

Enter a name for this profile. Choose the color of your theme, then choose your avatar.

 

Step No.3

Click the arrow in the top left to configure this profile. Select the Sync and Google services option. Here you can sign in to Gmail and other websites without signing in to Chrome, use cookies to autocomplete searches and URLs to your default search engine, { send usage data application and email error reports to Google and submit the URLs of the pages you visit on Google ( it is optional )}.

 

Step No.4

Tap on the left arrow to return to the earlier screen. Select the option to Import bookmarks and settings. In the pop-up window, select the browser in which you want to import the selected content. Uncheck any items you do not want to import, including browsing history, favorites/bookmarks, saved passwords, and autofill form data. Click Import.

 

Step No.5

You can then view and edit settings specific to this profile. Select the Autofill category to customize the autofill options for your password, payment method, or address. Select the "Privacy & Security" category to manage cookies, site settings and more. Select the Appearance category to change themes, fonts, and other visual features Select a search engine category to set your default search engine.

Step No.6

Once everything is in place, it's time to create and configure our second profile. Click the profile icon which is at the upper right corner and click on Add.

Click Continue without an account on the next screen. Enter a name and choose a theme for this account. Choose your avatar by clicking the pencil icon on your profile picture. To easily launch Chrome with this account, check the "Create desktop shortcut" box. Click Done.

 

Step No.8

To further customize this profile, select the profile icon, then the pencil icon. You can now navigate through each category to adjust various settings.
Close Chrome completely and reopen it. You will be prompted to choose a profile to use. Choose one of them.

 

Step No.9

If you want to use the same profile on another Chrome device outside of your current computer, click the profile icon and click the Enable sync button. Sign in with the account you want to use, then click the "Yes, I'm signed in" button to sync your bookmarks, passwords, history, and other stuff with that profile. When the sync is complete, click the profile picture and select another profile.

Step No.10

Go back to your profile icon and click the "Sync Settings" button. Follow the same process to sync the content and settings for this profile.

 

Step No.11

Finally, close Chrome. Open again. Click on add icon to create the third profile. Click the three-dot icon to edit or delete an existing profile.
