Whenever you make a video call, voice call, or someone calls you on Instagram, it will appear in your Instagram chat feed. So, chats are used as Instagram call logs.

 

Instagram has introduced a new Calls section that displays the history of recent incoming and outgoing calls. Over time, this section can become cluttered with too many call logs and we would like to remove it in future.

 

Can I delete Instagram video or audio call logs?

The short answer to this is no. Can't remove Instagram call log.

This feature was recently launched and Instagram may offer an option to delete call logs in the near future. However, you cannot delete call logs at this time.

 

How to Delete Instagram Call History

How do I delete an Instagram call that appears in chat?

You can delete call logs from Instagram chats, but there is one big problem. Unlike simple text chat, call history cannot be individually selected and deleted. Instead, if you want to remove video or audio call logs, you must delete the entire chat.

 

A complete chat with a person includes call logs and text messages exchanged with this person. So, when you delete a chat, the entire conversation is deleted along with the call log.

 

Below are simple steps you can follow to delete Instagram chat. However, if you don't want to lose the entire chat, it is better to avoid it and leave a call history in the chat.

 

Step No.1: First, launch the Instagram app. If you are logged out of your account, you must log in.

 

Step No.2:  Tap the chat icon on the Instagram homepage.

 

Step No.3: Now find the chat channel of the other party that contains the unwanted video call logs. Long press on a chat to open delete options.

 

In this way, your whole chat history will be deleted permanently.
