As you known Instagram is one of the most popular social media site at this point of time and one of the most addicting social media platform. If at any time you want to get rid of your Instagram habits, then you can delete or deactivate your Instagram account, and be away for a while or permanently from the instagram world.

One of the biggest difference between the two options, deleting instagram account and deactivating instagram account is that deleting your Instagram account is permanent, while deactivating is temporary, which lets you get your instagram account back later.

Kindly Note: If you want to delete your Instagram account, then you will need to use your desktop web browser, or the web browser of your phone, because Instagram app does not have the option to delete instagram account.

Once you have deleted your instagram account, your all photos, videos, profile, likes, comments, and followers will be removed permanently. But if you are thinking that you do not want to use instagram for few days, then its better, you temporarily deactivate or  disable your instagram account instead.

Once you have deleted your instagram account, you can sign up the instagram account with the similar username or add that username to another account to the extent,that, it has not been taken by another person on Instagram.

If you have made up your mind to delete instagram account, then its better you login in and  download a copy of your information (like your photos and posts) from Instagram, its not mandatory, in case if you need those things in future. Once your instagram account is deleted, you will not be able to have access to Instagram's Data Download tool.

Instagram can only be deleted in the computer’s browser or phone browser, deletion of instagram account is not possible through instagram app as of now.

1. Tap on Delete Your Account page (it will take you to deletion page) from an Android or iphone mobile or smartphone browser or computer browser. If you have not signed in to Instagram on the web, then you will be asked to log in first. You cannot delete your instagram account within the Instagram app as you already know.

2. Choose an option from the dropdown menu next to Why are you deleting your account? and again enter your password. You will see the button permanently delete my account only after you have selected a reason from the menu. Tap on it.

In this way you can delete your  instagram account permanently in Computer or PC browser or in mobile browser, android as well as iphone.
