Whatsapp: How to remove sound from Videos before sending to your Chats or Whatsapp Status

WhatsApp has been adding a lot of useful features all the time, and now one of the latest feature helps you to remove audio from videos before sending them to your chats or adding them to your WhatsApp Status.

The feature is currently being released on Android platform. The mute video feature can be useful only if you wish to share a video on WhatsApp without sound. 

Till now, you might be using third-party apps for audio editing on video, but now you can directly use the mute video feature within the app.

How to use WhatsApp's mute video feature

First, one needs to install the latest version of WhatsApp from Google Play on their Android device. 

If you are not able to found the mute video icon button, then chances are you have not received the feature yet, as WhatsApp is slowly rolling it out on Android.

Step No.1: Open any WhatsApp chat.

Step No.2: Click the attachment icon below and tap the camera icon if you want to record a video or tap the gallery icon to select a video.

Step No.3: You will now be shown the video on the screen and you can edit it here. Tap on the speaker icon at the top left to take out the audio from the video. When you are done, you can share the video without sound on WhatsApp.
