How to permanently delete Facebook Account ?

Once users have decided, that they want to delete Facebook or FB Account, then before deleting their account, they have the option to download a copy of their information (like their photos and posts) from Facebook. Because, after  deleting the account , user might not be able to retrieve anything they have added.

Step by step guide to permanently delete Facebook account:

First login to your Facebook Account.

Then tap on your Profile Picture of the FB account which you can see on the top right of the Facebook.

Now you will see Settings and privacy, select it and again click on setting option.

At the left hand side, tap on Privacy.

At the left hand column now you will see “Your Facebook Information” tap on it.

Now scroll down and Tap on Deactivation and Deletion.

Now Choose Delete Account button and then select Continue to Account Deletion button.

Now click on Delete Account button

You will be asked to enter the password, enter the password and click on Continue.

Can users cancel the Facebook account deletion?

Yes one can, but only if it's been less than 30 days since it was initiated the deletion. After 30 days, their account and all their information will be permanently deleted, and they would not be able to retrieve their information.

It may take up to 90 days from the beginning of the deletion process to delete all the things they have posted. While deleting this information by
Facebook, users facebook account is not accessible to other people using Facebook.

Copies of their information may remain after the 90 days in backup storage that Facebook use to recover in the event of a disaster, software error, or other data loss event. It may also keep their information for things like legal issues, terms violations, or harm prevention efforts.

To cancel the account deletion:

Log into the Facebook account within 30 days of deleting the account.

Click Cancel Deletion.
