First go to the “Settings” option of your iPhone and open it.

Then choose the Apple ID menu. This would be the first tab, which you will see on the Settings screen, below the search bar.

Choose Find My Option. You can see it after iCloud and Media & Purchase.

Select on the Find My iPhone option. Change the Find My iPhone options, Find My Network (to find your iPhone even when it is not connected to the internet), and Send last Location when the mobile phone was active (automatically sends the location of your iPhone to Apple when the battery is too low).

In a few minutes, the location of your iPhone will start appearing on the map screen.

When your phone is detected, you will be able to see all the devices at the top of the map. Tap on it.

Now you will see the drop-down menu, choose your lost iPhone model (your assigned phone name should appear here).

Then, the floating box will appear in the top right corner of the screen. It will show your photo of the iphone, name of the phone, how much battery is remaining and much more.

Now Choose the Play sound button. This will cause your iPhone to vibrate and emit a steady stream of noise, whether your phone is in silent mode or not. This feature is easy to use if you place your iPhone in a nearby room or nearby area and you can't see where you have stored it. You can follow the beeping sound and get it. You will need to remove the lock of your phone to stop the sound.

How to mark your iPhone as lost

At the floating window, you will need to choose the button named Lost Mode.

Then you will be asked to enter your preferred phone number where one can reach you. This number will be displayed on your lost iPhone. You will also be asked to enter a custom message that will also appear on your iPhone. Note that these steps can be ignored. Lost Mode will automatically lock your iPhone with a password to make sure that all internal data is kept secure.

At the floating window, choose the Erase iPhone button.

One pop-up message will appear, which will ask for your confirmation. Kindly note that enabling this will delete all content and settings on your iPhone. A deleted iPhone cannot be tracked or detected.
